A musical about the metamorphosis of the New York street from a quiet residential neighborhood to a wild red-light district filled with nightclubs. Covering the years 1912 to 1937, the story also concerns the saga of a brother and two sisters who live on the street. The brother doesn't talk to his sisters for many years because he has married an actress, and, in 1912, high society looks down upon stage performers. Songs include:"I Still Love to Kiss You Goodnight," "Nothing Can Stop Me Now," "I'd Like to See Some Mo' of Samoa," "Don't Save Your Love for a Rainy Day," "52nd Street," "23 Skiddoo," "Let Down Your Hair and Sing," "We Love the South" (Walter Bullock, Harold Spina).
