British Intelligence agents Roland Culver and Wilding and Frenchman Mason are led by Williams into occupied France to assess the strength of the Nazi invasion forces. Once in France they learn that the information they seek can only be obtained at Nazi headquarters. Williams and Culver gain entry to the building by posing as champagne sellers. They obtain the information, but the Nazis catch on quickly and give chase. With the help of the French Resistance, the vital information is given to British troops who then destroy the Nazis' supplies and munitions. As the intelligence force makes their escape, Mason is killed, leaving his sister Lehmann determined to help defeat the Nazis no matter how long it may take.
